Yes! There are a couple accounts in the Bible
I would like to point out:
Luke 7:47-50, "Wherefore I say unto thee,
Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for
she loved much: but to whom little is
forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said
unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. And they
that sat at meat with him began to say
within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth
sins also? And he said to the woman, Thy
faith hath saved thee; go in peace."
Another great story is when Jesus was on
the cross and the man next to him (a
murderer) basically asked Jesus to
remember him when He enters his
kingdom:
Luke 23:42-43, "And he said unto Jesus,
Lord, remember me when thou comest into
thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily
I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me
in paradise."
Did either of those people work to earn
their forgiveness? No!
