  SPIRITUAL CHECK UP

TODAY'S-SERMON TOPIC: SPIRITUAL-CHECK-UP TEXT: 1Cor. 11:31 Check-up is what any man/woman who wants to live a healthy life must be doing from time to time. Most medical doctors recommend that one should be going for medical check-up at least once in a month, base on health condition of d person. This is to know when something has gone wrong with the person involved or to be assure of sound health. There is a phenomena about things of the spirit and physical elements (things that can be seen), which we believe that the spiritual world is governor over the physical world. Brethren, for somebody to be spiritually fit, sound, and healthy, the person need to be checking his/herself up spiritually from time to time, to enable the person win spiritual battles. '' For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places'' (Eph.6:12). The reason why we lost many #SPIRITUAL #BATTLES is because, we are not spiritually sound. Ninety five percent (95 %) of what we ar passing through today is as result of #spiritual #sickness. 1Cor.11:27-31 Apostle Pual reprimanded the believers of the consequence of taking holy communion without examining themselves "spiritual check up". "So anyone of you who eats this bread or drink this cup unworthily is guilty of sinning agaist the body and blood of the Lord. That is why you should examine yourself....... That is why so many of you are weak and sick and some have even died...... But if we would examine ourselves, we would not be judged by God in this way'' . So therefore, brethren, spiritual check up is very important in our lives, because if we are checking ourselves up spiritually, we shall always be in peace with God and the devil will not defeat us in anyway. The following are the things we must not fail to check up in our lives. 1. Our prayer life 2. Reading of scripture 3. Our faith
